How to apply:

  1. Print and complete the application form - leave the NIHIL OBSTAT section blank
  2. Post the completed form to the Galway Diocesan Office with a letter of recommendation from your parish priest
  3. It takes up to one month from the day the Diocesan Office receives the form until the day the parchment is delivered
  4. Payment is made upon delivery of the parchment. Details of payment will be included with the parchment. The final cost is dependent upon postal charges/options and ranges from 15 to 30 euro

The Apostolic Blessing is only granted for the following occasions:

  1. Baptism, First Communion or Confirmation
  2. Catholic Marriage
  3. Ordination
  4. Religious Profession
  5. Secular Consecration
  6. Catholic Marriage, Ordination or Religious Profession Anniversaries
  7. Birthdays
  8. Catholic Individuals or Families
