The Diocesan Pastoral Centre provides programmes and support services that nurture the pastoral well-being of our parishes so that our communities may more fully experience and live the Gospel of Christ.

Rainbows is a national voluntary organization offering peer-support to children and young people who have experienced a significant loss in their lives through bereavement, divorce and separation
The aim is to support children and young people in their local communities, as they seek to come to terms with grief and loss.
It is a nine-week peer-support programme facilitated by trained adults in groups of 4-5 of similar age and loss experience and is free of charge.

Breda Coyne Diocesan Advisor.
The Diocesan Advisors are appointed by the Bishop to support and encourage the work of Religious Education in the Primary schools.
He /she visits all Primary Schools in the diocese annually, meeting teachers and children.
The Diocesan Advisors are members of the Diocesan Pastoral Team and the National Association of Primary Diocesan Advisors.
Mr P J Callanan povides assistance and advice to Boards of Management of Catholic Primary Schools in the diocese.

Training and formation of Extaordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, Ministers of the Word and Baptismal Teams available on demand.
Support is available for parishes who wish to set up a Parish Pastoral Council. Also ongoing support for training and development of Parish Pastoral Council members. Annual day of training and reflection every January.
Understanding and Exploring Scripture.....Each spring and autumn term the Pastoral Centre offers a series of talks/reflections on Scripture and how it impacts on our daily lives.
Organisations which currently locate their meetings in the Pastoral Centre include:
"Beginning Experience" a 8 week support programme for adults widowed/seperated/divorced (at least 1 year)
New weekly programme begins: 30th January - 20th March, 2019
