A Prayer for the New Year
May God make our year a happy one,
by strengthening us to bear it, as it comes;
by making us sturdy to travel any path;
by taking fear from our heart;
by keeping our face bright, even in the shadows;
by showing us when people need us most,
and by making us willing to be there to help.
God's love, peace, hope, and joy to us
for the year ahead.
Amen.
