Public celebration of the sacraments continues to be impacted by Covid-19. At present churches are limited to 50 persons at a service, or 50 persons per 'pod' if the church is large and has multiple entrances/exits.
2 June 2021: The most recent government guidance confirms that in line with the gradual reopening of society, First Holy Communions and Confirmations may take place from 5 July 2021 onwards, while complying with Covid-19 requirements.
Please note that sacramental records are not kept at diocesan level: they remain with individual parishes. If you require a copy of your own baptismal or confirmation record, please apply to the parish in which the sacrament was administered. You will find contact details for all parishes here. Please ensure your record request contains accurate name/s and date/s.
If you are looking for a historical sacramental record, you will find information here under 'Genealogy Queries'.
