The Dioceses of Galway and Clonfert are pleased to confirm that the Jubilee of Youth pilgrimage is taking place this summer and preparations are well underway. This unique 10-day experience is designed for young adults aged 18–35 and will combine faith, culture, and community in a powerful way.
Pilgrims will travel to Italy to take part in the Jubilee celebrations with Pope Francis in Rome, joining thousands of other young people from around the world. The journey continues with a walk along part of the historic Camino of St Columbanus—following in the footsteps of the Irish missionary who brought the Gospel across Europe. The group will also spend time in Milan, exploring the city’s Christian heritage, its culture, and its connection to the wider Columbanus story.
The programme includes return flights, high-quality accommodation, private coach transfers, and a full spiritual and cultural itinerary. All places are now filled due to high demand. A waiting list is open for those still interested in taking part—email info@galwaydiocese.ie to be added.
