"The formal recognition of Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis as saints holds up to young men in particular the awesome beauty of a life lived with Christ who takes nothing from us but gives us far more than we could ever expect on our own."

Bishop Michael

Saint Carlo Acutis (1991–2006)
Born in London and raised in Milan, Carlo Acutis grew up with a deep love for the Eucharist. He taught himself computer skills and used them to create a website documenting Eucharistic miracles. Known for his kindness and quiet charity, he died of leukaemia at fifteen. He was beatified in 2020 and canonised on 7 September 2025, becoming the first millennial saint, often called “God’s Influencer.”

Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901–1925)
Pier Giorgio Frassati was born in Turin into a prominent family. He lived simply, gave generously to the poor, and was active in Catholic Action and charity work. A passionate mountain climber, he saw the ascent as a symbol of striving towards God. He died of polio at twenty-four. Beatified in 1990, he was canonised alongside Carlo Acutis on 7 September 2025, remembered as the “Man of the Beatitudes.”
